Tips for Selling your Timeshare | by www.ICM-Group.net

So you have come to a decision to sell your timeshare and are looking at your options. You have perhaps tried calling the resort from which you made your purchase and they either flatly said "no" or offered you a measly sum for your once very expensive and exclusive timeshare, right?

Then you looked at E-bay, Craigslist or some other sites and were yet again offered ridiculous amounts if at all.  After that or somewhere in between you probably called  a timeshare marketing company and their pitch sounded good, you took them up on their offer only to never be heard from again! Does this sound familiar?

If you are like many timeshare owners you have been through these options and scams at least a few times, spending countless hours and perhaps thousands of dollars in the process only to be dejected and extremely skeptical of anyone promising help with the sale.

As a Inventory manager at www.ICM-Group.net I've unfortunately heard the story a thousand times. Selling a Timeshare is a difficult thing to do for most Timeshare owners. It's is a tough industry today with economic time as they are. It requires the same tactics that were used to put you into the resort to get it sold.

This is were you need a professional who understand the timeshare industry and knows how to sell timeshares. As you may have found there are no shortage of companies willing to Scam!, ah,  I mean help you do that. They take advantage of your circumstances and you inexperience in selling a timeshare take you money and never help.

So what do you do?

First, when talking with an agent , listen. Are they telling you they already have interested buyer?, Someone is standing by now and ready to buy? Or any variation like this..  hang up!

Selling a timeshare is a process. Sure there are people looking for specific resorts, but rarely would  a salesperson have that knowledge and tell you that without first connecting with the interested buyer and negotiating the price they are willing to pay and YOU are willing to sell for.

Despite what you were told, not all timeshare are in high demand. There are a few that are, and sometimes there are people looking for a particular place, time of year, size, etc.

Ask for References / Testimonials

 1) Ask for Testimonials

If a company has been around for  awhile the sure should have some success stories of satisfied clients.

2) Ask, how do they Sell  timeshares?

The agent should have some knowledge on how they actually find interested buyers. Listen for specifics.

3) Is there a money back Guarantee ?

All  credible and legitimate companies will have one.

These are just a few tips on selling your timeshare. If you are ready to sell your timeshare and want a  professional , legitimate company that understand the industry and will work to sell you timeshare.
